This week (and next week) I'm on vacation in South Dakota. My vacation got me thinking about self-care, the importance of doing the work to heal (and not just taking about it), and how that work is never done. It changes, but the journey lasts a lifetime. One way I practice self-care and work on healing is through my journaling practice. This year I have journaled more than possibly ever, and I feel inspired to share a few important journaling prompts with you.

So lets get started! These are journaling prompts that helped me strengthen my sense of self and elevate my self-esteem. They helped me gain new awarenesses about myself in relationships, too.

As always, there is an emphasis on personal responsibility because that's where your power is. It's in recognizing the things you're doing that are keeping you stuck. Often, it takes work to become aware of what those things are. That is the work you need to do. That is how you go from feeling disempowered to empowered.

Remember, you are always co-creating your life. The more awareness you have about how you're participating in your current relationships (or lack there of) the more agency you have to make changes so you get better results.
